Images

The “Images” section contains a growing collection of old UT photographs, postcards, and ephemera. Use the sub-menu to navigate and explore. You’ll also find images scattered among the blog entries and “Traditions” listings.

If you’d like to obtain an image for professional of personal use, a great resource is the Briscoe Center for American History, which houses the University Archives. The Center preserves thousands of old UT photographs and has finding aids.

Postcards 1: Images from 1900 to the 1920s.

Postcards 2: Images from the 1930s to the 1940s.

Postcards 3: Images from the 1950s to the 1970s.

UT Ephemera: Images of UT-related items that were meant to be short-lived, but have survived to tell us something about the University’s past.

The Dodgers of Old Main: Images of some rare handbills that were dropped from the top of the four-story rotunda in the old Main Building from 1900 – 1913.
